Site Archéologique De Me’ae à Puama’u

The largest archaeological site of Hiva Oa
Also known as "Lipona", which refers to the green valley in which it is situated, the archeological site of me'ae at Puama'u is without doubt the most important site on the island of Hiva Oa. It lies next to a fast-flowing stream at the foot of the only peak (Toea) in the valley. A beautiful and mystical setting with many tiki, including the tallest statue in the Marquesas Islands.
