Papeete, the capital of French Polynesia, offers plenty of activities and attractions for the whole family. A visit to the market on a Sunday morning is a journey into the colourful, vibrant heart of Polynesia. Follow it with a stroll around town to admire the stunning street art. There are also several cultural sites to explore, including the Chinese Kanti Temple, the Cathedral, the Pearl Museum, and the Maison de la Culture. Stroll along the waterfront to Paofai Park, where you can take a ride on the tourist train, and then enjoy a coconut sorbet as you watch another glorious sunset.
