- Local celebration day
A special and very colorful occasion in the Polynesian calendar is the last Friday in May, when everybody is invited to wear a traditional pareo for the day.

Get yours!
Whether at work, at home in the garden, or shopping in town, the inhabitants of Tahiti put on their finest pareos for the day. Even Polynesians living abroad participate in this event, which is catching on throughout The Islands of Tahiti, and pays tribute to a part of Polynesian culture that touches everybody.
