There are no luxury hotels in Rurutu. The island prefers the authenticity of small, family-run Tahitian Guesthouses. You’re sure of a warm welcome and traditional Polynesian hospitality and you’ll enjoy the immersion in the everyday life and culture of the local population.
The tarifs vary according to the offer. Some guesthouses, such as Manotel and Vaitumu Village, have garden bungalows. Others, such as Teautamatea, propose rooms opposite the beach. If you want to enjoy the animation offered by Moerai, then reserve a bed and breakfast room with evening meal at Chez Heiata, in the center of the main village. Your meals are usually included in the price of the room and consist mainly of local produce and freshly caught fish. Your hosts will collect you from the airport when you arrive and drop you off there when you leave.
