Source De Vaima

Vaima freshwater spring is situated not far from the watergardens of Vaipahi. Legend has it that the constantly gushing spring gets its strength and energy from Faaravaianuu, the royal eel of lake Vaihiria. The pure water is said to have healing properties and was at one time used as a cure. Today, families and groups of friends go to Vaima spring to cool off in the clear fresh water in the company of the eels, the spring's permanent residents.
