Tapahi point is a shelf of volcanic rock at about twenty meters above sea level, which offers a superb view over the coastline of Mahina and Papenoo.
The site has been arranged as a tourist rest area with tables and information panels.
This point once marked the boundary between Mahina and Papenoo.
In the right season, you can occasionally spot humpback whales passing by.
