What’s the role of Tourism Committees in our islands?
A Tourism Committee is an association which groups together and accompanies the actors in the tourist industry of a particular island (or municipality in Tahiti). To date, there are 27 Tourism Committees in The Islands of Tahiti. Each one participates actively in the development of tourism and the promotion of sustainable tourism for their island. Just like the Tourist Office, Tahiti Tourisme, with which they work in close collaboration, Tourism Committees are there to provide tourist information and details of entertainment and events on the island, and help you enjoy your stay to the full.
